Introduction to Marquetry

Experience the skilled craft of Marquetry, which uses natural wood veneer to produce pictures and decorate boxes and items of furniture.
This introduction requires no previous experience. Expert-friendly tuition from Quentin will guide you through all the steps needed and you will try simple marquetry to create a small item to take home with you.
Enjoy a slice of cake and cup of tea or coffee included.
All materials provided.
Please note this workshop is suitable for those aged 18 and over.


Quentin is a freelance marquetry artist (marquetarian) with over 30 years experience of making high-quality marquetry and parquetry. He is the founder of the Staffordshire Marquetry Group and a former President of The Marquetry Society and has received numerous awards at the Society's international exhibitions including for miniature, portraiture and applied work.
