Workshop

Introduction to Wet Felting

Saturday 16 May, 10am

Cost: £40

Learn the ancient craft of wet felting. You will learn how to handle unspun wool; identify a selection of different fibres and the process of laying the wool correctly so that it will interlock when wet. You will produce a textured picture from soft, unspun wool - or go wild with an abstract piece!

Please bring an old towel to work on, a waterproof bag to take damp work home in and, should you wish, an apron.

Hot drink and cake included. All equipment provided. Please note that under 16’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Penny Dixon is a textile artists who has been felting and teaching workshops for over 18 years. She is a member of the International Feltmakers Association and the Heritage Crafts Association and her work often reflects inspiration from organic forms encountered on long muddy dog walks.
